OVERVIEW OF THE ENDOCRINE SYSTEM

This course is concerned with the introduction of the endocrine system to be used in a biology or introductory to anatomy and physiology course. The lesson describes the endocrine hormones in terms of classifications, hormone receptors, patterns of secretion and feedback control mechanism. It also outlines the differences between the endocrine and nervous system and differences between cell membrane and intracellular receptors.
